Subindo de #2 para #1, Telephone dá as duas cantoras o título de maior quantidade de #1 desde que o chart foi criado. O par empata com Mariah Carey, que ocupou o primeiro lugar seis vezes entre 1993 e 2005. Lady Gaga e Beyoncé acabam de passar Avril Lavigne, Pink, Britney Spears e Justin Timberlake, cada um com cinco #1.

O primeiro topo de Beyoncé foi com “Crazy in Love”, em 2003, enquanto que Gaga teve seu primeiro #1 há dezesseis meses.

Up from # 2 to # 1, Telephone gives the two singers the title of largest amount of # 1 since the chart was created. The pair tied with Mariah Carey, who occupied the first place six times between 1993 and 2005. Lady Gaga and Beyoncé just passed Avril Lavigne, Pink, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, each with five # 1.

The first Beyoncé top was "Crazy in Love" in 2003, while Gaga had his first # 1 at sixteen months ago.
